Jowar poha made with channa and jowar flakes is a quick and easy 15 min dinner recipe, its high in protein and fibre. To make it more fibre rich I used fresh palak leaves puree which gives an added green colour. The channa gives added protein and fibre, ideal vegetarian meal for those looking for gluten free meal options. Millet poha is excellent to use as a filling meal and will help to keep you feel fuller for a longer time.
Jowar is also known as sorghum and it is a highly nutritious millet and is completely gluten free.

Ingredients:
1.5 cups of jowar flakes
2 handful palak leaves (spinach)
1/4 cup water
2 tsp groundnut oil (wood pressed)
1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
Whole spices: black peppercorns, mace, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves
1 onion, chopped
1/2 inch ginger, chopped
3-4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
1 tsp pink himalayan salt
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup boiled chana (chickpeas)
Juice of half a lemon
