Methi matar malai, methi malai matar is a traditional side dish made with green peas and fresh cream (malai). I am sharing my version of a dairy free and vegan methi malai matar recipe. Its a healthy side dish with roti or with rice. Matar or green peas are in season right now and using fresh shelled green peas in this recipe makes it all the more tasty and flavourful. This curry or sabzi is an ideal side dish for those with dairy intolerance. Ingredients: ngredients: 300 gms, shelled green peas 1.5 tbsp wood pressed ground nut oil 1 tsp jeera 1 chopped oinion A small piece of ginger 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder 3/4 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp jeera powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/3 tsp black pepper powder 1/2 cup water Pink himalayan salt as needed -- 10-12 cashew nuts 1/2 cup water 1/2 tsp amchur (dry mango powder) or juice of half a lemon
