Quick pizza sauce with fresh tomatoes.....yes its time to ditch store-bought pizza sauce and make them right in your kitchen....and the best thing about this pizza sauce is, it is done in 15 min....so quick and fast it is that you will never reach for that pizza sauce bottle ever again....money saving binge ha!
You can make this sauce while the pizza dough is proofing up or even a day or week before but you need to refrigerate it.....also if you are super lazy to do the cooking process, you can just drain a bit of the liquid and use it...
Not canned tomatoes, pure fresh ones are the star here....plus the good thing is you probably would have all the ingredients in your pantry.
Making this sauce is more easier than writing this post....that said, lets get cooking.
Tip: If you have fresh basil and oregano leaves, its best to use them.
This recipe will yield for one pizza only, I usually make this as an instant sauce. If you are super lazy, you can omit the cooking process and top it on the pizza base, but be sure to drain off some liquid or it will be very watery....but I prefer making the sauce.
Method:
Chop the tomatoes and put it into a blender and blend for a minute or two. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan, or an iron skillet kadai. Add in the sliced garlic cloves....you need to induce that garlicy flavor to the oil.
Pour the pureed tomato into it....it sure will splutter and dirty around....or you can use a bigger pan to save all those wipes.
Allow the tomatoes to come to a boil and then simmer the fire.....for the rest of the cooking.
Then add in 1/2 tsp pepper powder.
Add in 1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves.
Add in half tsp dried basil leaves.
Half tsp sugar.
Half tsp salt.
And lastly half tsp white vinegar.
Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Or until the sauce thickens.
Allow it to cool and its ready to top it over your pizza.
